AVATIL’s Annual General Meeting was held on June 2, 2016 at la Vieille Brasserie in Lachine.

This year the event hosted a special speaker, Brigitte Auger, Director of Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Physical Disability, The Directorate at the CIUSSS West Island.

The President and Executive Director reports as well as the financial reports of the year ended March 31, 2016 were presented. The highlights of the event were the client presentations from different groups and the Fay Bland Award winner announcement. Marjie Rutherford, the president of the AVATIL’s Board of Directors, was nominated as the winner of 2016 Fay Bland Award for her long term dedication and commitment to AVATIL. Congratulations Mrs. Rutherford, very well deserved!
